Tetracycline is also not recommended as a treatment for acne in pregnancy, as it can be responsible for poor fetal bone growth and tooth discoloration in infants. Some doctors are happy to prescribe erythromycin for use during pregnancy, but as with all medications during pregnancy, it's really best to avoid if possible.
