10 Home Remedies for Morning Sickness
Helping maternity brides-to-be!

nausea during pregnancy

  1. Eat often Frequent snacks throughout the day are better than eating larger meals.
  2. Keep fit with regular exercise, especially in the fresh air.
  3. Use a Pregnancy Journal to record what triggers your morning sickness. Note down what you have been able to eat and do without problems!
  4. Comfort food! Forget the rules about healthy eating ... it's better to keep some food down than none. There will be plenty of time to concentrate on your healthy pregnancy diet when the sickness stops! If you really want chocolate ... get stuck in!
  5. Rest and relaxation! Get as much rest as possible ... focus on early nights and naps!
  6. Pressure! Sea bands work on acupressure points and they can make a huge difference. They are cheap, have no known side effects and deliver immediate benefits ... highly recommended by everyone I asked!

  8. Get minty by dropping peppermint oil onto a tissue to 'sniff' whenever you feel nauseous
  9. Stay fresh with baby wipes to hand so you can freshen up often ... experiment with scented and fragrance-free ones!
  10. Ditch the smoke! If cigarette smoke makes your morning sickness worse, tell you partner / colleagues / family how you feel and ask for their consideration. Gently remind them that passive (second-hand) smoking is good for no one ... especially pregnant women and their unborn babies.
  11. Try aromatherapy. Lavender, rose or chamomile are perfect and safe to use during pregnancy for a relaxing massage oil.
