I didn't look much like the model but DH assures me I looked fab
Expecting twins, I was massive when I was pregnant bride at 7 months. The last thing I wanted to think about was a meternity wedding dress! Neither of us wanted the pantomime of a church wedding either. I hated the idea of a big white wedding and DH is an agnostic so was relived not to be dragged up the aisle!
Instead, we had a wonderful short, intimate wedding at Chelsea register office (beautiful rooms) then we were thoroughly spoiled by my folks who pulled out all the stops to put on a fabulous luxury BBQ in their garden for a dozen of our nearest and dearest. They were very naughty and sprung lots of little surprises on us ... like the totally amazing ice-cream wedding cake! (Soo yummy!)
I know some women look good when they are pregnant, but believe me I was not one of them! The very idea of squeezing my newly pumped up airbag size boobs and swollen ankles into a wedding dress and fancy shoes made me shudder. Oh, and it was high summer! So, I wore this gorgeous cotton maternity evening dress from Crave Maternity. I teamed it with pretty flip flops from Accessorize and a funky pedicure.
Needless to say I didn't hire a photographer! But I do have wonderful memories and we will have a blessing ceremony (with pics)... when the twins are Christened.
