We're planning our maternity wedding, as my partner proposed last night! He's a bit of a traditionalist and he wants to get married before our baby arrives at the end of September. More than anything, he wants us to have the same name before our baby arrives so we will be legally secure as a couple!
He's suggested that we have a small, quick wedding and then have a big party after our baby arrives, because that will be much less stressful for me (actually for both of us).
I love this idea as I love him - he's definitely 'the one' I want to spend the rest of my days with, but I can't help but think this might be a bit unromantic and that I might feel I've missed out on a 'proper wedding'.
Would love to hear from anyone else who has been in a similar position. Did you get married when you were pregnant or wait 'til afterwards? I'm really confused now about what's best and I would really love some advice from anyone who has been through the same situation!! Thank you so much!
