Pregnancy myths ... under the spotlight!
My best girlfriend and I found out about pregnancy myths and old wives tales (especially anything to do with morning sickness) when she was pregnant with her first child.
Excitement at her long-awaited pregnancy had rapidly turned to deep despair when horrible morning sickness arrived with a vengeance in week 7.
She was dreadfully, endlessly sick!
We thought it would be a bit of fun to test out some pregnancy old wives tales ... and hoped it would take her mind off how rotten she was feeling!

As I had been lucky and didn't suffer from morning sickness when I was pregnant, we decided to set out together to learn as much as we could about what causes morning sickness, and to look for home remedies for her to try.
We were amazed to discover that modern science still doesn't have an exact answer for the cause of pregnancy's most famous symptom!
Popular Pregnancy Myths and Old Wives Tales
Old wives seem to have an answer for everything ... whether they're right or not, their confidence is reassuring.
Looking back at my pregnancy ... with hindsight of course ... those good old pregnancy myths were spot on for me!
Maybe those old wives know what they're talking about after all ...
Of course all pregnancy myths have to be taken with a huge pinch of salt and not as any kind of medical advice ... but they are fun! And some are a whole load more weird than others.
