Should I wear a girdle as a pregnant bride?

I’ll be 6 months pregnant on my wedding day and my mom says I need to wear a girdle to hold my belly in! She says she's not embarrassed about me being pregnant and getting married, but says a girdle will just make me look slimmer.

I'm not sure if this is safe for my baby (which is very much wanted and planned!)

I'm confused - my parents are paying for the wedding and I'm really grateful, but I don't want to do anything to hurt my baby.

Are there any girdles that are safe for pregnant women? Any helpful suggestions please!

You should NOT wear a girdle as a pregnant bride!!! You should be comfortable in your gown.

Depending on how big you are they do make support panties for pregnant women. I think we found them on line at J.C. Pennys.

My daughter was very pregnant at her wedding because they originally thought they would wait until after the baby was born, but in the eighth month he decided he wanted to be married before the baby came. She needed some extra support for comfort and the panties did the trick.

We also found a beautiful maternity dress off the rack and ajustable sandals for those swelling feet. She was beautiful as a maternity dresspregnant bride. I also found her some white slipper thongs for at the reception her feet were so swollen by evening and they looked fine.

Everyone was wonderful and happy they had decided to get married before Eden was born. The neat thing is we already knew the sex of the baby and she already had a name. We all talked about her and her arrival at the wedding freely. It was great!
