  • Sea-sickness can be a problem for any cruise passenger, so do ask about which sea-sickness medications and remedies are best to use during pregnancy. Ask for a cabin in the middle of the ship, close to the water line and take sea-bands and Preggie Pop Drops with you to fight the queasiness!

  • Generally, larger ships (more than 1,000 passengers) are more stable, especially in rough weather. Large ships also tend to have the best range of health facilities and services.

  • Check what your health insurance policy will cover during and after the cruise. Consider buying additional travel medical insurance as well. Most cruise lines offer insurance packages that include medical coverage.

  • Traveling by cruise ship when pregnant It's very important to Stock up on any medications you need while you are travelling by cruise ship when pregnant. Most cruise ships have a shipboard pharmacy; however, they may not have the medication you need.

  • your fitness to travel and
  • any medications you may require while on board.

  • Locate and try on your lifejacket, to see if it fits. If it's too small, your cabin steward will find another for you.

    Will you feel safest if your new hubby stays in the room while you shower?
  • Read the safety notices and make sure you are confident about where the exit routes are.
