Wedding Photography Poses For Your Maternity Wedding

Essential wedding photography planning tips!

Agreeing the wedding photography poses you want your professional photographer to capture on your maternity wedding day is key to avoiding disappointment with your wedding photographs.

Discuss your pregnancy with your photographer

Beautiful wedding photography poses start with the bride getting ready! This way you can agree how long you will be expected to stand and pose for, and you can discuss whether you want your photos to be "pregnant and proud", "hide the baby bump" or a tasteful combination of both.

This will give you lots of beautiful images to choose from.

Dont forget to discuss the sacredness of the ceremony itself and your views about flash pictures during the ceremony. How will you feel if your photographer walks up and down the aisle, just to capture the best shots?

Before you sign any contract or part with any money ... do you feel completely relaxed and comfortable with the photographer you have chosen?

Are you on the same wave-length?

Notes on Formal Wedding Photography Poses

Beautiful bridesmaids make for great wedding photography poses! Posed formals may be taken either just before or just after the ceremony. Although they are usually taken immediately after the ceremony, you might want to arrange these for before the ceremony (usually at least 60 to 90 minutes before the ceremony).

A quick set of formal photos may be taken in as little as 20 to 30 minutes ... but it's also possible for the session to last from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the size of the wedding party ... and the number of family members and friends to be included as part of the formal photo session.

Be realistic about how much standing around you want to do on your wedding day!

Look for another professional if you're not 100% happy!

Your photographs will be more natural if you feel a connection with your photographer.
